New Chronograph Drops From Baltic
This is a great time to be an independent and microbrand watch enthusiast. Brands like Baltic are dropping one great timepiece after another. Earlier this year, Baltic delivered a limited edition tricompax chrono in collaboration with racing event organizer Peter Auto. Since then, I've been wondering if a non-limited-edition version would make its debut from the French watchmaker.
Well, they've gone ahead and delivered one. Starting December 1, 2022, you'll be able to order the new Tricompax in both limited and non-limited edition versions. A limited edition of 200 units — all numbered and engraved — of each colorway will be available at first, starting on December 1, 2023, at 4pm Paris time. Preorders will end on December 11, 2022 at 4pm Paris time as well.
Buyers will have to wait a while for delivery, however. The numbered editions will start shipping in April 2023, while the non-numbered editions will start shipping in September 2023.
The watches feature the same Sellita SW510-M manual-wound chronograph movement as the Baltic X Peter Auto release and are similar in dimensions as well. 316L stainless steel cases measuring 39.5mm wide and 13mm thick house that Swiss movement and a double-domed sapphire crystal sits atop the dial, which is available in a panda and reverse-panda colorway.
Pricing is set at €1645 for both, numbered and non-numbered editions and they go on sale December 1, 2022 at 4pm Paris time, 7am Pacific time.
