Preorders Open For Furlan Marri's Newest Piece
Furlan Marri made waves (for more reasons than one) when they introduced an inexpensive yet absolutely gorgeous chronograph in a 38mm case, powered by a Seiko mecaquartz movement. Despite having a movement that a lot of watch snobs would have thumbed their noses at, the Mr. Grey sold out quickly and then went on to win the prestigious “Horological Revelation” prize from the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), a foundation overseen by the Canton and City of Geneva.
The Mr. Grey and Mare Blu chronographs have been sold out for some time and, while there are plans to issue a new reference in July 2022, Furlan Marri have introduced a striking new timepiece they are calling the “Black Sector Ref 2116-A”. A fully mechanical three-hand watch, the Black Sector is powered by a La Joux-Perret G101 movement, the Black Sector has a classic 37.5mm case that’s 10.5mm thin. Perhaps the most noticeable feature of the watch besides the dial are those “cow-horn” lugs that are attached to the case with a bridge, rather than being welded to it.
More to come on this gorgeous timepiece… if I can get my hands on it!
